Don’t Go to War Blind: Why the Church Needs Prophetic Intelligence

Blindfolded people rushing to battle.
This is why the church needs prophetic eyes and ears.

The precision of Israel's strike on Iran's highest ranking military officers, using 200 jets to hit 100 targets, shows the importance of having accurate intelligence in advance in order to win the battle without inflicting massive civilian casualties. Iran's regime has already lost the war. They will never get a nuclear weapon. The Iranian people want to be liberated from the tyranny.

There is an exact parallel to having prophetic intelligence in the church for spiritual warfare. Paul said he didn't fight like someone beating the air. He wasn't flailing about, but successfully landing blows on the enemy.

Intercessory prayer can be coupled with prophetic decrees. Prophets are the eyes and ears of the church. Don't go to war blinded and deaf. Hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. This is a season of prophetic convergence, synergy with pastors, strategy by apostles, so that God's word prevails to awaken the saints.

Enemy fortresses can be demolished. Strongholds of deceit that ensnare people can be dismantled. The strong man opposing the gospel can be unseated and bound. People can be liberated and the storehouses of wicked powers can be plundered. As I wrote in Heaven's Angel Armies, if we pray in faith, holy angels join the battle.
