  1. Jesus is our role model- Matthew 4:23, 9:35.
    1. He healed all who came to him- Luke 4:40

      3. Prayer is a means of power- Mark 9:29, Acts 1:8
      4. Vision- Dynamo lowered into a river.
  2. Understand the relationship between Healing and:
    1. Prayer-

      2. The early church specifically prayed for healing to occur- Acts 4:29-31

    3. Deliverance- Matthew 12:22, Mark 1:39. 3:15; Luke 10:1-2, 9, 17-19
    4. Exercising authority- Mark 16:17
      1. What are we commissioned to do?
      2. What are we anointed to do?
      3. What do we have compassion to do?
      4. What do we have faith to do? (Relax! You are human and will fail.)
    5. Living in Community- ("The Faith Factor," Dr. Dale Matthews) Of 325 studies regarding religion and health, 75% show a beneficial connection. These benefits are mental, emotional, physical, and social. They assume a positive religious (not just spiritual) loving environment, not a negative controlling or legalistic faith.

    2. The unchanging word of God- Isaiah 55:11, Matthew 8:8
    3. A free gift, unearned favor, offered by grace, because of love- Ephesians 2:8
    4. God’s mercy received by faith- Matthew 9:29 (doubt vs. disbelief)
    5. The anointing of the Holy Spirit- Acts 10:38, 1 Cor. 12:7
  4. Does God want to heal you? Unbelief- the greatest hindrance to healing- Mark 6:1-6
    1. Does God have the power? Mark 9:23 (see also Jeremiah 32:17, 27, 33:3)
    2. Is God willing to heal? Luke 5:12-13
    3. Does God want to heal you? Matthew 9:11-13 (no one is worthy)
    4. Does God want to heal you now? 1 Cor. 12:28, Hebrews 3:7
